1. Native MasterStudy LMS Integration
If you teach with MasterStudy LMS, you've probably had to wire up parallel WooCommerce products just to run automations.
That ends today. FunnelKit Automations 3.8.1 ships with a fully native MasterStudy LMS integration, no parallel WooCommerce products required.
Open the automation builder and you'll find a complete set of MasterStudy events ready to use as triggers:
- User Attempts a Quiz
- User Completes a Lesson
- User Completes a Course
- User Enrolls in a Course
- User Removed From a Course
You also get condition rules based on the course and their learning progress.
You can branch automations based on exactly where a learner is in their journey, whether they've just started, hit a milestone, or stalled out partway through.
On the action side, your workflows can now enroll a user into a course or remove them from one directly. No manual admin work or plugin gymnastics needed.
You can now run welcome sequences, drip lessons, re-engagement flows, and certificate follow-ups from a single place.
2. Smarter Abandoned Cart Capture
Fake emails and junk checkouts have always been a tax on cart recovery. They pollute your data, trigger pointless recovery emails, and skew your analytics.
FunnelKit Automations 3.8.1 fixes this at the source.
DNS & MX email validation by default
Abandoned cart capture now runs DNS and MX email-domain validation every time someone enters an email address at checkout.
If the email doesn’t belong to a real, working domain, the cart simply isn’t captured.
No junk contacts. No wasted sends. No skewed recovery stats.
Capture IP Address and Device Info
Inside the Cart Abandonment settings, you'll now find two new options:
- Capture IP Address
- Capture Device Info
Once you turn these on, every captured cart records the visitor's IP, device, browser, and language. These are visible directly inside the contact view.
That gives you a clear way to spot suspicious activity and fraudulent checkouts at a glance, without having to dive into server logs or third-party tools.
3. New LearnDash Event Trigger: User Starts a Course
For our LearnDash users, we've added something you've been asking for.
A brand-new trigger called User Starts a Course.
Unlike enrollment-based triggers, this one fires only on the very first course activity for a contact, not on every course they pick up later.
So if you want to kick off a welcome sequence the moment someone genuinely begins learning, this is the cleanest way to do it.
No more accidental welcome emails to long-time students who just enrolled in their tenth course.
4. Manual MemberPress Enrollment From the Contact Profile
Sometimes you just need to drop one specific contact into one specific automation. No segment, no condition, no waiting for a trigger.
If you’re running MemberPress, 3.8.1 makes that effortless.
Open any contact, click Add to Automation, and you can manually enroll them into a MemberPress automation without leaving the profile screen.
Perfect for customer service overrides, VIP onboarding, manual win-back interventions, or any moment when speed matters more than automation logic.
5. New "Has Bought Subscription" Filter for WooCommerce Subscriptions
Until now, segmenting customers who have ever purchased a subscription. But whose subscription was no longer active was harder than it should have been.
There simply wasn't a clean way to pull up these contacts as a unified audience.
3.8.1 fixes that with a new contact filter: Has Bought Subscription.
With this filter active, you can pull up every contact who has ever purchased a WooCommerce subscription, regardless of current status.
Active, cancelled, and expired are reachable in one segment.
That unlocks an entire category of campaigns:
- Win-back offers for lapsed subscribers
- Loyalty rewards for past subscription customers
- Targeted re-subscription incentives with personalized messaging

6. Full Divi 5 Compatibility for Form Submissions
For Divi users who’ve made the jump to Divi 5, your form-based automations will keep working exactly as expected.
The Divi Form submission event is now fully compatible with Divi 5.
